The Bride Message
Hebrews 12:22-23
22But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, 23To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect.
Unto the Churches Scattered Abroad
The Remnant Church: A Return to the Original
In today’s vast landscape of Christianity—filled with denominations, traditions, and interpretations—it is easy to assume that what we see is the fullness of God’s Church. But Scripture, history, and prophetic insight tell a different story. What exists broadly under the banner of Christianity today is not the remnant. Rather, the remnant is something far more exclusive, precise, and faithful to the original pattern.
What Is the Remnant?
A remnant is not something new—it is a piece of the original, a preserved portion that remains after the larger structure has fallen into decay, compromise, or confusion. Just as in ancient Israel, where God preserved a faithful remnant even when the nation strayed, so too has He preserved a remnant Church in these last days.
This is not a matter of elitism, but of divine design. The remnant is not just any group that calls itself Christian—it is a called-out core, a body of believers who return to the blueprint laid out by God Himself.
“See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”
— Hebrews 8:5 (referencing Exodus 25:40)
The Church that Christ established was built according to a heavenly pattern, not human tradition. That original design has largely been lost, obscured by centuries of doctrinal drift, religious systems, and institutional compromises. But the remnant Church is the faithful return to that original blueprint.
Launched on a Hill, Restored on a Hill
The Church was launched on a hill outside Jerusalem, where Jesus Christ was crucified and where the fire of Pentecost birthed a spiritual nation. But just as it began in fire, it also faced falling away. Over time, the apostolic foundation was obscured. Yet God, in His sovereignty, restored the Church—not through reform, but through rebuilding according to the original plan.
On June 13, 1903, the Church was restored as the Church Proper—a prophetic moment marking the beginning of a restoration that continues even today. This restoration didn’t happen in the spotlight of global Christendom, but on a hill in the United States—a prophetic echo of its original launch.
Restoration and Building: The Present Work
The remnant Church is not static. It is in building—under divine construction. The blueprint is being followed. The structure is rising. The five-fold ministry (Ephesians 4:11-13) is being reestablished. The people are being refined. The foundation of apostles and prophets is being laid again—with Jesus Christ as the cornerstone.
This is not church as usual. This is not institutional religion. This is the Church Jesus is building—the one He said the gates of hell would not prevail against (Matthew 16:18). It is a Church born of fire, purified by truth, and led by the Spirit.
The Mountain of the Lord in the Last Days
The story is not over. The remnant Church has a prophetic destiny.
“It shall come to pass in the last days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains... and all nations shall flow to it.”
— Isaiah 2:2
This mountain represents the final glory of the remnant Church. Not only will it be restored, it will be exalted. A day is coming when the true Church—built according to the pattern, filled with God’s presence, and refined by His fire—will stand as a witness to the nations. Men and women will flow to it, drawn by the truth, power, and presence of God.
A Call to the Remnant
God is not calling everyone—He is calling the remnant. He is calling those who hunger for more than religion, who ache for the original, who are willing to be built, corrected, and aligned with Heaven's design.
This is not an easy path. The remnant is always smaller, always set apart. But it is the only path that leads to the Church triumphant, the Bride made ready.
In the swirl of modern Christianity—with its denominations, personalities, platforms, and programs—many assume they are seeing the Church in its full expression. But what exists today in mainstream Christianity is not the Remnant Church. The remnant is not the whole garment; it is the piece of the original—a preserved portion of what God first birthed in Christ and through His apostles. It is a core, purified body drawn out from the broader Church world, restored according to the divine blueprint.
The Principle of the Remnant
Throughout Scripture, the idea of a remnant is consistent and prophetic. In every generation where God’s people fell into compromise or disobedience, He preserved a small group—a faithful few—through whom He would continue His covenant.
“Except the Lord of hosts had left us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.”
— Isaiah 1:9
“Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.”
— Romans 11:5
The remnant is never the majority. It is not the loudest or the most visible. It is often hidden, misunderstood, rejected, or persecuted. But it is precious to God—because it clings to His covenant, His word, and His ways when others drift.
Not Just Reformed—But Restored
Many movements over the centuries have attempted to reform the Church. Some corrected doctrine. Others emphasized holiness or revival. But the remnant Church is not merely a reform of a broken system—it is a restoration of the original.
Hebrews 8:5 reminds us that the earthly Church must reflect the heavenly pattern—just as Moses was commanded to build the tabernacle according to what he saw on the mountain.
“See that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”
— Hebrews 8:5
The true Church—the Remnant—is being rebuilt according to this pattern. It is not shaped by culture, convenience, or tradition, but by the revelation of Christ, the apostles’ doctrine, and the foundation of truth.
Three Hills in Prophetic History
The story of the Church can be understood through three key hills—each marking a different stage in God’s redemptive plan:
1. Launched on a Hill Outside Jerusalem
The Church was born through the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ—outside Jerusalem on Mount Calvary. There, He purchased the Church with His own blood (Acts 20:28). Soon after, the Holy Spirit descended in power on the day of Pentecost, and the early Church began to walk in apostolic authority and unity (Acts 2:42-47).
But over time, corruption crept in. The apostolic pattern was lost. Political alliances and doctrinal compromises weakened the Church’s witness.
2. Restored on a Hill in the United States
On June 13, 1903, something historic happened. In a small and unlikely place—on a hill in the southeastern United States—God reestablished His Church as the Church Proper. This wasn’t a revival or a new denomination. It was a divine restoration—a re-laying of the apostolic foundation and the reestablishment of the Church as Christ intended it.
God once again called a people to return to the original pattern—to walk in holiness, unity, and truth, under Christ the Head. This moment marked the beginning of the remnant’s visible rise in the earth.
3. Glorified on a Mountain in the Last Days
The journey is not complete. The Remnant Church will see its full glory in the last days, as prophesied in Isaiah:
“It shall come to pass in the last days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.”
— Isaiah 2:2
This mountain is not a physical place but a spiritual elevation—the full manifestation of the remnant Church in power, purity, and divine authority. In the last days, men and women from all nations will be drawn to this mountain, to learn the ways of the Lord and walk in His truth.
Built According to the Blueprint
This remnant Church is not a man-made institution. It is being built according to the heavenly blueprint:
-
Christ as the Head – not a pope, president, or board.
-
Apostles and Prophets as the Foundation – as in Ephesians 2:20.
-
Five-Fold Ministry Functioning Fully – apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (Ephesians 4:11-13).
-
Unity of the Faith and Maturity of the Saints – not spiritual consumerism but equipping for purpose.
-
Holiness, Order, and Divine Government – not chaos or compromise.
This Church is being shaped even now—through testing, purging, revelation, and obedience.
Who Makes Up the Remnant?
The remnant is not defined by a denomination, race, or tradition. It is defined by alignment:
-
Aligned with the Word of God
-
Aligned with God’s government
-
Aligned with the Spirit’s direction
-
Aligned with truth and holiness
-
Aligned with the original pattern
It is a people willing to be corrected, built, and placed—who seek not a platform but a place in God’s building.
“You also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house...”
— 1 Peter 2:5
The Church the Gates of Hell Will Not Prevail Against
When Jesus said, “I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18), He was not talking about every church on every corner. He was referring to His Church—the one He is building—the one according to His pattern.
That Church is rising. That Church is the remnant. And that Church will stand in glory when all else crumbles.
Conclusion: A Prophetic Invitation
The Remnant Church is not in the future—it is being formed now. It is not for the casual or the comfortable. It is for those who are willing to forsake religion for revelation, form for fire, and systems for Spirit.
The Church of Jesus Christ is not dead, and it is not defeated—but it is being refined. It is being drawn out, restored, and prepared to stand on the mountain of the Lord as a witness to the nations.
“Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord... and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths.”
— Isaiah 2:3
The call is sounding. The blueprint is open. The building is underway.
